01:46 am: Excerpts, with translation
I just finished reading Le Spleen de Paris, Baudelaire's collection of prose poems. I'm not much of a poetry person, but this is nothing like the poetry I ever read or learned in school. It's not called poems in prose for no reason, after all.

There are fifty in the book, but there were two that stuck with me, and I thought I'd share with you, if anyone's interested. I included translation, don't worry.

I see Christmas cards post everywhere and I would love to reply, but I don't dare to ask anyone to pay international postage to send me one. So, if you're sending cards and willing to pay extra to ship to Canada, let me know here! I'll get you a card too, of course. (All comments will be screened, no worry.)

And apparently I am very good at tl;dr in replies to other posts or in emails or in chat, but not in my own CDJ. Weird, no?
